Victorian Rutilated Amethyst Silver Locket chain established in Birmingham in 1850DATE: Victorian, c. 1880 A cool Victorian Rutilated Amethyst locket dating from the 1880's. The front and back are formed from two violet domed rutilated amethysts, which seem to "glow" from within when moved in the light. Rutilated Amethyst contains brown iron crystals, known as goethite, which are also present in Super Seven crystal. They are said to provide focus and raise your mental awareness.
